Blog EntryShould Brett Favre Retire?Apr 9, '06 5:59 PM
by Jordan Paul for everyone

C'mon Brett,

Make up your mind already!

You are doing a disservice to your team mates, your community and the entire NFL by dragging out your decision! You are not the young, healthy, vibrant QB that won the Super Bowl!

You are not "Gods Gift to Football"! Get off your high horse. Either Play or Retire, simple as that! Tha Pack will go on without you just like the did without Bart Starr.

I am personally looking forward to last years 1st round pick Aaron Rogers getting the chance to prove he was worth a 1st round pick!

What do you all think?

Gunny

Favre is a warrior who inspires people, he's loved by the fans, the players, and the people who cover football. That being said, it's time he moves on. It was very difficult to watch Brett throwing the ball like it no longer mattered and giving up on games before the end.

I'd love to watch Favre come back and have an MVP year and lead his team to the playoffs. I'd also like to win the lottery. The odds of both are about the same, slim to none.

Goodbye and good luck Brett, go spend time with your family while you still can.

Well said!
I think he's a great QB, I also think that his O-line in GB is not what it once was and I saw hinm throw way toooo many pics last year so whats with his decision making??

He's not doin' anything affecting the team, he's earned the right to sit here and decide. It's a life altering decision. It's not like someone quiting a job like Jack In The Box. I want him back as a support of the Pack, he is the team. Give us one more year. Aaron Rogers can't even HOLD or SNIFF Brett's jockstrap.

Well said! I would agree both with the statement and the line of thinking. just read an article on NFL.com just blastin him though.
He is under contract and camps haven't started so there is some time for him to decide without "hurting the team".
I still think Rogers is the QB of the future for the pack. but another year of watching and learning may help him more in the long run!
Thanks for the reply,
Best,
Gunny

LOL. Let's see.... since all of you naysayers wrote that....the Packers have gone 16 - 9, and 12 -1 in the last 13 games......and Favre has shattered just about every record in the book. At thirty-eight he's still mentioned with Manning and Brady as being the best in the game NOW. Brett had a poor supporting cast for a couple of years and tried all he could do to win it on his own. He's still got it...and will have it for a few more years, if he wants.
